Current - Works installed at Reading station
November 2023 - Reading Ballad at The Biscuit Factory, Reading
Selected for an installation @Wells Contemporary (Wells Cathedral) 2022
Her work reflects interactions with people about shared life experiences. What started as a confessional practice based on a traumatic life event developed into connections with others and their journeys. Talking, and listening to others informs her work and enables it to be relatable. Common themes underpinning her practice are identity, place and home. The inside, the outside, boundaries and the movement between the two. She uses playfulness and humour as a coping mechanism and a way of exploring complex, often troubling topics in an accessible way... Her PhD research explores alter egos as a way to tap into alternative and sometimes conflicting creativity within her practice.
She was selected for Wells Contemporary 2022 and short listed for the High prize 2021. Her work is on show throughout 2024 at Reading station with a large installation 10m x 3.3m. In May 2023 she held a solo show at Guildford Cathedral. She has been shown at The Sunbury Gallery (solo show), The National Trust, The RSPB, Earley Station, Trowbridge Town Hall, Cromwell Place Gallery and The Crypt Gallery London, and is on permanent display at South Western Rail, The Sculpture Park Farnham, The War Horse memorial at Royal Ascot and Frimley Park Hospital. She has had two residencies at Stand Point Gallery, London.
